Stop using “busy” as an excuse. Are you too busy to stand in queue for your coffee? Too busy to hang out with your friends, or to browse on your phone for hours? No? Then stop saying you were too busy to carry out the responsibilities that your job requires. Stop making excuses for your procrastination/laziness. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. If you’re too “busy” to carry out the responsibilities that your job entails, then either quit or be honest about the shortcomings. At the very least, commit only to what you can do, and make it clear when you can’t.
